Do I need a licence or experience to ride a jet ski?
No. No licence or prior experience is necessary. Every tour begins with a full safety briefing and training from a qualified guide, and all safety equipment is provided.
Can two people share one jet ski?
Yes. One price covers the jet ski for one or two people — one rider drives and one rides as a passenger. For example, the Airlie Adrenaline tour is $249 per ski for one or two people.
What is the minimum age for a jet ski tour?
It depends on the tour. On the Airlie Adrenaline Adventure, passengers must be at least 8 years old. On the 3-hour Whitsunday Wonders tour the minimum driver age is 16 and the minimum passenger age is 12. Please contact us to confirm age suitability for a specific tour.
Do I need to be able to swim?
For the 3-hour Whitsunday Wonders tour, riders must be able to swim 100 metres, be confident in open water and have a good level of fitness, as it includes an island swim or snorkel stop. For the shorter tours, basic water confidence is recommended. If you have any health, fitness or medical concerns (including pregnancy or back/neck conditions), please contact us before booking so we can advise on suitability.
How long do the jet ski tours go for?
The Sunset Sensation runs 45 minutes, the Airlie Adrenaline Adventure runs about 1.5 hours (around an hour of riding), and the Whitsunday Wonders tour runs 3 hours (about 1.5 hours of riding).
